Great Backyard Bird Count

Become a citizen scientist by participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count anytime from February 12-15. Participating is easy, fun to do alone or with others, and can be done anywhere you find birds. Simply watch birds for at least 15 minutes, at least once over the four days, and report what you see using the eBird app or website.

The Great Backyard Bird Count is a global citizen science project by the Cornell lab or Ornithology and the National Audubon Society. Its aim is to collect data on wild birds to help scientists better understand global bird populations before their annual migration. Find more information about this activity at
birdcount.org or by picking up a bird activity packet at the library.
