When Brian tries to hypnotize Arful, his dog, into thinking he is a cat as part of a science project, it is not Arful but his friend Josh who ends up behaving like a cat. However something does happen to Arful. Now he not only understands humans he can talk like one. When the boys’ arch rivals...the girls… challenge them in the school talent contest the boys accept, thinking they can have a ventriloquist act with Arful doing the talking. These plans you can be sure will not go smoothly since Brain, Josh and Dougie have a reputation for disaster.
