Forgotten Door, by Alexander Key (Junior/Young Adult)As we walk through life, we often stumble, trip and fall. Normally all that is required is that we dust ourselves off and set out again. Occasionally we hear stories about people who fall into more dangerous situations, old mines, hidden wells, and covered up pits. This is such a story. Little Jon was looking up, up at the shooting stars as they were crossing the sky. They were beginning to stream across like jewels flung from another planet. Everyone was watching them and did not see Jon fall, fall, fall. As he gets up and looks around him, Jon hears and sees things he does not understand, that he has never seen before. He quickly realizes that he has fallen into another world and in order to return to his own world he must find that door that dropped him here…. a Forgotten Door.
