My Name is Brain Brian, by Jeanne Betancourt (Junior)

My Name Is Brain Brian is a great read about a fifth grade boy, Brian, who with his friends Dan, Richie and John form the Jokers Club. They have a hideout in the deserted gardener's shed behind the Colgate mansion. Brian is a fun-loving boy but he has a lot of trouble with school.

Brian finds out that he is dyslexic and sees things differently than other students. Brain also sees other things differently and this creates a rift with some of his friends. The new year in school is a time for Brian to find out who he is and who his friends are.
