All Alone in the Universe is a sometimes-humorous story narrated by a teenage girl named Debbie. Her best friend forever, Maureen, meets someone new leaving Debbie feeling left out and all alone in the universe. Debbie's struggle to deal with this disappointment in her life and to search out new connections is a great, easy to follow book.
